Introduction to the United Acupuncture Association (UAA)
The United Acupuncture Association (UAA) applied to the U.S. Federal Government and the State of California for establishment as a non-profit organization on December 13, 2012, and was officially approved on January 4, 2013, becoming a legally registered non-profit organization.
Mission:
Serve members and the general public — Provide professional services to acupuncture physicians and the community
Enhance the professional level of member physicians — Improve practice quality through continuing education
Unite acupuncture professionals in California — Build solidarity within the professional community
Protect and advocate for the rights of California's acupuncture profession — Secure the rightful interests and status of the acupuncture medical profession
UAA's Board of Directors consists of six founding TCM practitioners: Chen Da-Wei, Huang Xuan-Heng, Li An-Yue, Liang Xian-Zhi, Tai Feng-Da, and Yi Fei-Te. The association is dedicated to advancing the acupuncture profession in California through academic lectures, professional exchanges, and other activities aimed at elevating the overall standard of acupuncture healthcare.
